Monday morning I took an hour and a half train and bus ride to part of the 66 Lakes Trail in Brandenburg. I had the trail pretty much to myself. Started in Leuenberg heading south past several lakes and amongst lots of exquisite colors. It was an incredibly calming and centering hike and so I took ample opportunities to stop and listen to the forest. Lucky enough to spot a small herd of deer feeding just off the trail too.
The trail is well marked but I generally use a physical map as well and it was needed at a couple of intersections. It’s about 23 kilometres from Leuenberg to Stausberg but quite easy walking. Really nice day and I feel quite rejuvenated.
